Hagu and Melakuda were rescued from the streets by Marina, an elderly woman, who cared for them until she passed away in June 2026. She lived alone in Gurjaani, in Georgia’s Kakheti region, in extreme poverty and suffered from several illnesses. Hagu and Melakuda currently live outdoors with a paid foster family in Tbilisi, alongside other foster dogs and cats. Both are affectionate and playful, and both tolerate veterinary examinations. Melakuda has a deformity in one toe bone on one paw. However, this does not prevent her from walking, running, or being physically active. They have lived together for approximately two years. Marina found Hagu as a puppy and brought him home to Melakuda, who was around two years old at the time. We would prefer to adopt them together, but separate adoptions are also possible.
